We are expecting to see a number of 5G smartphone next year, although it looks like we may have to wait until the following year to see the new 5G iPhone.
According to a recent report by Fast Company, Apple will be launching their first 5G iPhone in 2020.
Apple will apparently use a 5G modem from Intel in their new 2020 iPhone, the Intel 8161 5G modem, Intel will use the 10 nanometer process for these new 5G modems, this allows for increased transistor density and efficiency.
This is hardly surprising that Apple will not be releasing a 5G iPhone next year, when new technology becomes available, Apple usually waits a little longer than most smartphone makers to introduce it.
We are excerpting to see a range of new iPhone next year, the handsets are said to come with a notch free display and may get a slight re-design over the current iPhone XS and XS Max handsets.
