Apple has revealed its latest iOS distribution figures and iOS 12 is nos on 80% of all of Apple’s iOS devices.
The software is on 83% of Apple’s iOS devices that have been introduced in the last four years, this covers the period up until the 24th of February 2019. This has increase from around 70% back in December of last year.
This means that four out of five of Apple’s iOS devices are now running their iOS 12 software and more people have decided to upgrade to the new OS.
Adoption of iOS 12 has been better than the adoption of iOS 11, as iOS 11 was on around 65% adoption in January 2018, this is around 10 percent lower than iOS 12 adoption.
Apple is working on a new version of the software, iOS 12.2 which will bring a range of new features to the iPhone and iPad. These new features include some new Animoji and support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit on third party TVs. We are expecting Apple to release their iOS 12.2 software some time in March.
