We recently heard that both Facebook and Google has been using Apple’s Enterprise Certificate Program to distribute apps outside of their companies, Facebook has their certificate revoked for a few days which stopped all of their internal apps from working.
Now TechCrunch has discovered that other companies are doing something similar and adult content and gambling apps, which violate Apple’s guidelines for the app storage are apparently being distributed using the Enterprise Certificate.
TechCrunch have unveiled a number of gambling apps and also adult content apps that are doing this, the discovered at least 12 adult content apps and 12 gambling apps.
No doubt Apple will be taking action against these companies that are abusing the rules, although it looks like Apple may need to take a closer look at its Enterprise Certificate program and how it is run.
