As previously announced by Google the new Nest Hub Max entertainment and communication hub is now available to purchase priced at $229. The Google Nest Hub Max is equipped with a built-in camera, microphones and a 10 inch HD screen, offering a combination of video calling, streaming and Android applications.
Thanks to its Nest home security integration you can keep an eye on things at home during the day with the built-in Nest Cam. “Check in for a live view and get motion and sound alerts on your phone. With a Nest Aware subscription, you’ll get continuous video recording, and more.”
The Nest Hub Max also allows users to stream music from apps such as YouTube Music, Spotify, live radio and more. Listen to news, podcasts and audiobooks. Google explains a little more about the privacy of the new Google Nest Hub Max :
“Nest Hub Max uses built-in microphones so you can ask the Google Assistant for help using just your voice. Audio is only sent to Google when Nest Hub Max detects that you’re asking the Assistant for help, such as when you say, “Hey Google,” or if you use a feature that needs it (for example, Duo video calling). You’ll see a visual indicator on the front of Nest Hub Max when this happens. You’re in control of which camera features you turn on. Whenever your camera sends video to Google, you’ll see a green light on the front of Nest Hub Max. You can review and delete your query data whenever you like at myactivity.google.com.”
