Barely a day after leakster Evan Blass shared a new poster of the HTC One X10, the Taiwanese smartphone maker made it official in Russia. The smartphone will be going on sale there before the end of this month with a $355 price tag. Only two colors will be available at launch – Black and Silver. HTC hasn’t given out any info yet regarding availability in other markets around the world, so we will need to wait a few more weeks for a clearer picture.
The One X10 features a 5.5-inch Super LCD display offering 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution, which results in a pixel density of 401 pixels per inch. It is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top, although the exact version used has not been specified by HTC. Under the hood, the One X10 runs on the MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable by up to 2TB with a microSD card.
The rear camera on the HTC One X10 is a 16MP BSI sensor that has been paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens. Like some flagship Android smartphones, the camera features a Pro mode that allows advanced users to fiddle with manual settings as well as capture photos in RAW format. The front-facing camera is an 8MP fixed-focus unit that has been coupled with an f/2.2 aperture lens.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, DLNA, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Miracast, and 4G LTE. The smartphone packs a 4000mAh capacity battery, which is definitely very impressive for an HTC device. According to the manufacturer, the One X10 provides up to 26 hours of talk time and up to 31 days standby on a 3G network. Fast-charging is supported as well, so you will not have to wait very long for the battery to be fully charged. The One X10 also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, HTC BoomSound audio, and a highly durable metal build with 3D diamond chamfering.
