These days you can make money doing all kinds of things. You can be an Uber driver for instance or use apps to do odd jobs. Thanks to platforms like YouTube, it has become increasingly easy for people to find new streams of revenue. Though it’s not always a guarantee that you’ll become rich, many are doing very well for themselves. Some are rich, while others are just doing okay.
In fact, in Indonesia, the National Development University Veteran Jakarta has announced that they will be offering up spots in its admission program to YouTubers who have more than 10,000 subscribers or who have created original video content for YouTube that has at least 100,000 views, or more.
However, these YouTubers will not be guaranteed entry to the university, they will just be given a chance at it. They will also need to be tested by creating a new video between 3-5 mins in length. This is not the first time universities have considered applicants through unconventional means like this.
There have been reports of some universities offering scholarships to students who are good at certain video games too. One thing is for sure, universities sure have changed over the last few decades.
